My part in this project was to map out the target groups approach to recovery products. We assembled, evaluated and analysed data from a large range of people. It recuired a lot of field work and it was a big challange to pin-point their behaviour in this territory, avoiding leading questions. This later crystallized to key insights, upon which the creative brief was written.

CYI was a school project that grew bigger that we ever dared to hope for. The brief told us to identify a digital problem and come up with an interactive solution. Our main goal with the Control Your Info project was to raise the awareness of online privacy issues. Tech-savvy news blogs like Mashable, CNET and others all over the world noticed our work and we even made it to the Swedish mainstream media, e.g. TV4 Nyheterna. A friend of mine decided to go self-employed and she needed help with the visual identity. Her skills are translation, subtitles, copywriting and stuff like that. We started off by using moodboards to pin-point what she wanted her company to communicate. With that in mind this logo just popped right out… like a snap, no design proofs or other obstacles in the way. Becuse of the eminent cooperation I got the exclusive rights to her future design assignments.

The client simply told us to revise the running version of their vivid calendar-tool for students, Studentkalender, based on proper research. We were to focus on user interface design rather than to present yet another ground-breaking packaging. The deliverables was a solid report, a complete design, graphical guidelines and the technical specification to develop the site.

The Paparazzi concept was about interacting with your friends irl, using an online service and the camera in your phone. You get assigned to photograph a certain friend and by taking snapshots or sniper photos of that very person you increase your rank. To embrace simplicity, the idea was to use OpenAPI´s from Google Maps and social networks like Twitter and Facebook. It´s is not very far from the iPhone Gunman application that later showed up, but with less the action and a hell of a lot longer lifespan. During a short period I started working on a business plan for the project but, as always, a cooler idea came along and I never made it to the Dragon´s Den with Paparazzi.

Every band of somewhat dignity keeps a stock of t-shirts for better or worse. In this case I needed to swing something that would motivate the kids to spend their allowance on our merchandise. To be honest; I´m really not a big fan of standard death metal artwork but since we´re an old-school death metal band, we get away with almost everything… even a skull-logo.
